The Federal Reserve Board today announced the issuance of an Order of Prohibition against Fred J. Smilek, a former officer of the Chemical Bank, New York, New York, a former state member bank.
Mr. Smilek, without admitting to any allegations, consented to the issuance of the Order due to his alleged misappropriation of approximately $275,000 during the period when he was an officer of the bank. A copy of the Order is attached.
