Coverage Cost

If you are a full-time employee, you and the Board share the cost of your dental care coverage. The Board pays 80 percent of the coverage cost. Your contributions are made through convenient payroll deductions.

Certain temporary employees pay the full cost of dental care coverage. A Benefits Counselor can provide you with current premium rates.

   Maximum Benefit

You and each covered dependent can receive up to $1,000 Standard PPO and up to $3,000 Premier PPO in benefits from the Dental Plan each calendar year (not including benefits received for covered orthodontic services). There is no dollar maximum under the DHMO plan.

For orthodontic services, there is a separate lifetime maximum of $2,000 per person (Premier PPO only). There are no orthodontic services under the Standard PPO Plan or the DHMO plan.
