All requests for alternative work arrangements must be made to each employee’s appropriate division manager.

    Alternative Work Arrangements

The Federal Reserve Board offers you the privilege of alternative work arrangements. The Board understands the needs of employees and will do everything they can to help you balance your professional requirements and family needs.

Full time employees can take advantage of several, different work arrangements to suit their individual needs. These plans include:

  • Compressed work schedule — A work schedule that compresses the same number of weekly hours customarily worked in an employee’s division or section into fewer days.
  • Flextime — This allows you the flexibility to choose when your workday starts and ends. To provide structure work schedules for all staff will include the core hours of 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • Job sharing — A work arrangement in which two people share one job.
  • Voluntary part-time employment — A schedule that allows you to voluntarily reduce the number of hours you work, with a commensurate reduction in pay and benefits.
  • Telecommuting — This allows you the opportunity to work from your home for some portion of the workweek.
  • Flex day — This is your scheduled day off in a compressed work schedule.
