Employee Recognition and Awards

   Merit Increases

A merit increase is an annual salary increase that is based on annual PMP reviews. The percentage of a merit increase depends mainly on the employee's performance.

   Cash Awards

An employee may receive a lump-sum payment to recognize either a significant, one-time accomplishment or sustained exemplary performance. The award may be made in any amount, up to a maximum of 10 percent of an employee's salary. A supervisor can recommend an employee for a cash award at any time.

   Special Achievement Awards

A Special Achievement Award is a lump-sum cash payment that recognizes either an employee's accomplishments beyond normal work expectations, or sustained superior job performance.
