Employment of Persons with Disabilities
The Board has developed an Affirmative Employment
Plan for the hiring, placement, and advancement of persons with
disabilities and has a formal policy on Employment of Persons with
Disabilities.
A person is considered to have a disability if he
or she has a physical or medical condition that substantially limits
one or more major life activities, has a record of such impairment,
or is regarded as having such an impairment.
Employees with disabilities may request accommodations
by completing a "Request for Reasonable Accommodation"
form, available from their division management. All medical and
other information provided by employees regarding disability is
confidential and is maintained separately from the employees' personnel
files.
