Your First Day

Prepare for Your First Day

Your first day at the Federal Reserve Board consists of a highly interactive and thorough program called "On the Money: Getting a Great Start at the Federal Reserve Board." You'll learn about the purpose and structure of the Board... the value of your benefits... the human resources programs available to you... building security and computer security... and how to get around the buildings.

  • Plan to arrive by 8:00 AM on your first day.
  • Bring a photo ID.
  • Come to the Martin Building entrance on C Street, NW, between 20th and 21st Streets. We recommend you take Metro to the Farragut West station. Your recruiter will have given you a temporary pass to board the FRB shuttle, which picks up passengers at 18th and I streets, NW (near the World Bank building). You will not be able to park in the garage on your first day, and there is no all-day street parking available nearby. See directions for Getting to the Board.
  • A representative of the Management Division will greet you at the security station and escort you to the training room.
  • Training officially lasts from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. A Benefits Counselor will be on hand from 3:00 to 4:00 PM to answer questions about forms and benefits.
  • Complete your employee information forms and bring them with you on your first day of employment. They will be used to setup payroll and benefits information.)

We look forward to seeing you on your first day!
