We provide equal opportunity for all individuals in an environment of inclusion and respect that allows our employees to fully use their individual talents to advance the mission of the Board most effectively.
The ability to develop and carry out our responsibilities is a direct result of the contributions of a highly-talented, diverse workforce.
The Board's commitment to creating a diverse workplace that values contributions from all employees can also be seen in our…
Work/Life Benefits
The Board attracts and retains its employees by offering a highly competitive benefits package. A recent study indicated that Board employees are significantly more satisfied with their benefits package compared to employees at other organizations. In addition to the traditional health and life insurance benefits, the Board provides its employees with an array of complementary services and programs which may include:
- flexible work schedules;
- telecommuting;
- transportation subsidies;
- dental, vision, and domestic partner benefits;
- a dependent care referral program;
- a health unit and fitness center;
- a credit union;
- a successful recognition program that rewards individuals and teams for their contributions and achievements.
Professional Development
We use both internal and external training courses to provide professional development opportunities to help our employees increase their knowledge and acquire new skills. The Board supports employee educational development through an academic assistance program.
Employee Committees
To promote inclusiveness, the Board encourages its employees to expand their awareness and to participate in any of several employee committees. These groups provide valuable input to Board programs and sponsor cultural events.
Recruiting
Recruiting and retaining a highly motivated, well-trained, and diverse workforce is necessary to achieve the Board's mission and goals. Our recruiting efforts are sustained by strong professional relationships with an array of colleges and universities, professional organizations, and associations. We also sponsor a number of internships, a cooperative education program and a visiting scholars program.
