The share of all loans consisting of commercial real estate loans at the 100 largest banks starts in 1990 at a little over 19 percent, declines to just under 13 percent in 1997, and then slowly rises to 18 percent at the end of 2006. The share of all loans consisting of commercial real estate loans at other banks starts at 21.5 percent in 1990 and holds at around that level until the end of 1996. Subsequently, this share climbs notably to reach almost 46 percent at the end of 2006.
