If you expect to drive more than the standard lease mileage of 15,000 miles per year, the model should include

  • The lower residual value that will be used in your lease if you request a mileage allowance of more than 15,000 miles per year
  • The excess mileage charge you will be assessed if you don't request additional miles and return the leased vehicle at lease-end with more than the allowed mileage
  • The reduced trade-in value of the vehicle if you finance it and trade it with more than 15,000 miles per year.

If you expect to drive less than the standard lease mileage of 15,000 miles per year, the model should include

  • The higher residual value that will be used in your lease if you request a mileage allowance of less than 15,000 miles per year
  • The greater value of the vehicle compared with the residual value if you don't request a reduced mileage allowance but drive fewer than the 15,000 mile per year allowed
  • The greater trade-in value of the vehicle if you finance it and trade it with fewer than 15,000 miles per year.
