Household and Real Estate Finance

The Household and Real Estate Finance section analyzes current policy issues and conducts research on how and why households borrow money and on the effects of these borrowing decisions on the broader economy. The section also studies the financial institutions and markets that supply household credit, including the housing government-sponsored enterprises and the asset-backed securities markets. In addition, the section is responsible for analysis of commercial real estate finance.
