Starting in 1996:Q2, the level of the price index is grown using the percentage change in a repeat-sales index from CoStar for apartment buildings. Before 1996:Q2 level index is the appraisal-based national market price per square foot for apartment properties from NREI Series has no transactions component. Data for the most recent ten years show no significant seasonality.
