Series is zero beginning 2009:Q1. Until 2008:Q4, levels are calculated as equity U.S. direct investment abroad ( LM263192101 ) multiplied by the security broker and dealer sector's share of total U.S. direct investment abroad ( LM663092003 / LM263192001 ). Returns are determined according to capital gains on total equity U.S. direct investment abroad ( FR263192101 ). Transactions are the change in level less the revaluation component. The last ten years of data show no significant seasonality.
