Data Description:
Includes all mortgage loans for the construction of property containing 5 or more dwelling units.
Also includes:
1. Loans for the construction of condominium or cooperative apartments;
2. Loans for the construction of faternity/sorority houses offering sleeping accommodations;
3. Loans for the construction of living accommodations for students or staff of a college or hospital;
4. Loans for the construction of retirement homes with sleeping and eating accommodations for permanent residents; the number of bedrooms determines the number of dwelling units;
5. Combination land/construction loans on 5 or more dwelling units regardless of the current stage of construction or development;
6. Combination construction/permanent loans on 5 or more dwelling units construction is completed or principal amortization payments begin, whichever comes first; and
7. "Bridge" loans to developers on 5 or more dwelling units where the same loan will not be assumed by the buyer, even if construction is completed or principal amortization payments have begun.
COMPARABILITY:
Beginning 3/31/04, includes number 8 Loans for the construction of mobile home parks. Also adjust balances as described in the general instructions to mortgage loans in the Thrift Financial Report Instruction Manual.
