Data Description:
Includes the total book value of all pledged or unpledged investment securities. Included in the total:
(a) Any applicable premium or discount that is carried separately on the books;
(b) Total amount of all loans secured by all types of securities (including mortgage-backed pass-through securities) under a repurchase or dollar repurchase fixed coupon agreement;
(c) Time deposits (certificates of deposit) and interest earning demand deposits of banks and other depository institutions, including those held subject to repurchase agreement;
(d) Loans of unsecured day(s) funds (federal fund, etc.) except to institutions under the control or in the possession of any supervision authority;
(e) "Ground Rents";
(f) Shares of an investment company which restricts its investments as in Regulation 545.76;
(g) Investments in commercial paper and corporate debt securities;
(h) Collateralized mortgage obligations not guaranteed by a federal government agency; and
(i) Promissory notes issued by the FSLIC.
Does not include:
(a) Notes (loans) insured by the Farmers Home Administration;
(b) Mortgage-backed pass-through securities;
(c) U.S. Government and Agency securities;
(d) Common and preferred stock;
(e) Stock in a Federal Home Loan Bank and in the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation; and
(f) Stock in a service corporation/subsidiary.
