Data Description:
Includes the unpaid principal balances of all mortgages of the type reportable in items (1518), (1519), (1470), (1447), (1534) and (1543) that were foreclosed or on which a voluntary deed in lieu of foreclosure was acquired during the quarter. For foreclosures, report when judgment is obtained; do not include them a second time when a marketable title is obtained. Includes cancellations of real estate contracts or similar actions whereby your institution re-acquires as real estate owned any property previously sold on contract. Includes FHA/VA and other federally insured or guaranteed loans, regardless of whether title subsequently is transferred to the insuring agency. In the case of participations, the originator/servicer and each purchaser/owner should report only that portion of the loan balance actually held at the time of foreclosure.
