Data Description:

The total of commitments for loans to nonbank financial institutions unused (1523) and outstanding loans (1522). Refer to "Loan Commitments for Mortgages - Total (1411)" for definition of commitments. Loans to nonbank financial institutions are those specified for "Loans to Other Depository Institutions (1538)" and "Loans to Other Financial Institutions (1539)". Excludes loans for purchasing and carrying securities and mortgages. Includes loans for mortgage warehousing, but not mortgage loans themselves.
