Data Description:
Includes the balance of all other savings deposits that represent funds deposited to the credit of, or in which any beneficial interest is held by, a depositor which is not a natural person including partnerships, corporations, associations, or other organizations primarily for religious, philanthropic, charitable, education, or other similar purpose, and not operated for profit, such as church organizations, professional associations, trade associations, labor unions, fraternities, sororities and similar social organizations, and nonprofit recreational clubs. Also includes the United States, any state, county, municipality, or their political subdivisions, the District of Columbia, the commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam, or their political subdivisions, insurance companies, credit unions, savings and loan associations, savings banks, and federally-sponsored lending agencies. Funds deposited to the credit of, or in which any beneficial interest is held by, commercial banks, Edge Act or Agreement Corporations and U.S. branches and agencies of foreign banks subject to (12CFR part 217 or 12CFR part 329) are classified as savings deposits to the extent that such deposits do not exceed $150,000 per such depositor.
