Data Description:

Includes the outstanding aggregate principal balance of assets sold with recourse, regardless of when sold.

Also includes:

(1)   Assets sold and guaranteed by the reporting institution;

(2)   Loans swapped for securities; and

(3)   Assets held in a trust.

Excludes:

(1)   Insured portions (e.g., if 80% of a loan is insured by FHA/VA or private mortgage insurers, report   only 20% of the outstanding loan);

(2)   Losses to be borne by purchaser; or

(3)   Losses recorded as liabilities by the reporting institution.
