Data Description:

Includes balances in new accounts defined as end-of-quarter balances in accounts whose holders had no transaction accounts with the reporting institution as the end of the prior quarter. Reporting in this cell is optional for all institutions.

NOTE:

Beginning 9/30/2002, definition revised to also include as new accounts:

(1). Accounts where there has been a name added or deleted.

(2). Deposits acquired from an acquisition of a depository institution or its branches or from other bulk purchase of deposits.
