Data Description:


Includes the weighted average servicing spread/fee (in basis points) of the outstanding balances of mortgage loans serviced for others. Includes the combined portfolio of purchased servicing and retained servicing. The servicing spread/fee includes the gross spread/fee, not any net amount that reflects estimates of the cost of the servicing. For example, if an institution originates a loan at 10% and immediately sells it to yield 9%, the institution should report 100 basis points of servicing spread/fee. (See item 6404.) The weighted average servicing spread are calculated as follows:

Weighted Average = 50(50bp) + 50(30bp) + 100(80bp) = Servicing Spread 200 + 60 Basis Points
