Data Description:
Report the balance of all transaction accounts included in items no. 2339 and 2071.
Transaction accounts are those deposit and escrow accounts from whch the depositor is permitted to make:
Transfers or withdrawals by negotiable or transferable instruments.
Payment orders of withdrawal, telephone transfers, or other similar devices for purpose of making payments or transfers to third persons or others.
Third party payments at an automated teller machine (ATM), a remote service (RSU), or other electronic device, including by debit card.
Transaction accounts include demand deposits, NOW (negotiable order of withdrawal) accounts, ATS (automatic transfer service) accounts, and telephone and preauthorized transfer accounts. These accounts may be interest-bearing or non-interest-bearing.
Excludes money market deposit accounts (MMDAs) and other savings deposits as defined in items C529 and C530, even though such deposits permit some third-party transfers. However, report as a transaction account an account that otherwise meets the definition of a savings deposit but that authorizes or permits the depositor to exceed the transfer limitations specified for that account.
Items C528, C529, C530 plus C531 must equal item 2339 plus 2071.
