The Federal Reserve Board on Wednesday announced its approval of the proposal filed by New York Community Bancorp, Inc., Westbury, to merge with Long Island Financial Corp., and thereby indirectly acquire its subsidiary bank, Long Island Commercial Bank, both of Islandia, and all in New York. Attached is the Board's Order relating to this action. |
