2. Available in appropriate circumstances to depository institutions that do not qualify for primary credit.   Return to table

3. Available to help relatively small depository institutions meet regular seasonal needs for funds that arise from a clear pattern of intrayearly movements in their deposits and loans. 4. Was available until January 8, 2003, to help depository institutions meet temporary needs for funds that could not be met through reasonable alternative sources. For earlier data, see the following publications of the Board of Governors: Banking and Monetary Statistics, 1914-1941, and 1941-1970; the Annual Statistical Digest, 1970-1979, 1980-1989, and 1990-1995; and the Statistical Digest, 1996-2000.
