The Department of the Treasury and the Federal Reserve Board announced on November 27, 2009, the release of a joint final rule to extend the compliance date for their joint regulation implementing certain provisions of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act by six months to June 1, 2010. By letter dated September 18, 2009, the Agencies received a petition (305 KB PDF) requesting an extension of the compliance date of the final regulation for an additional twelve months to December 1, 2010. The Agencies have also received letters (973 KB PDF) in support of and in opposition to the petition.
