Share DataThese reports show the assets, loans, and deposits of all foreign bank offices in the United States, which consist of U.S. branches and agencies of foreign banks and U.S. commercial bank subsidiaries of foreign entities. These data are also shown separately for foreign bank offices in New York and California. The data are in billions of dollars and as a percentage (share) of all bank offices in the United States.
Note: The dollar values for "offices" are those for branches and agencies plus subsidiaries. Prior to December 1996, New York investment companies were also included in the dollar values for "offices."
From 1997 forward, data in the Structure and Share reports have been adjusted to include U.S. chartered entities that are completely or partially owned by foreign companies that are not banks themselves. |
