The Federal Reserve Board on Friday announced its approval of the application filed by The Toronto-Dominion Bank, Toronto, Canada, and its subsidiary, TD Banknorth Inc., Portland, Maine, to acquire Hudson United Bancorp and its wholly owned subsidiary, Hudson United Bank, both of Mahwah, New Jersey.
