The Federal Reserve Board on Tuesday announced its approval of the application by Whitney Holding Corporation, New Orleans, Louisiana, to acquire First National Bancshares, Inc. and its subsidiary bank, 1st National Bank & Trust, both of Bradenton, Florida.
