The Federal Reserve Board on Friday announced its approval of the application by The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc., Pittsburgh, to merge with Sterling Financial Corporation, Lancaster, both of Pennsylvania, and the application by PNC Bank Delaware, Wilmington, to merge with Delaware Sterling Bank & Trust Company, Christiana, both of Delaware.
