Foggy Bottom
This riverfront neighborhood east of Georgetown is home to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, George Washington University, the Watergate complex, the State Department, and the Federal Reserve Board. A cluster of nineteenth-century houses remains to remind the visitor of its early history as a working class community.
