Call for Papers

The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System is hosting a two-day conference on "Developments in Empirical Monetary Economics" to be held on May 11-12, 2017, in Washington, D.C. The conference aims to bring together academic and central bank economists to stimulate debate and research on monetary economics with a strong empirical component.

Some particularly relevant topics are:

  • New identification approaches for understanding the transmission of conventional and unconventional monetary policies.
  • Policy rules, expectations, and forward guidance.
  • Monetary policy and domestic and international financial conditions.
  • The interaction between monetary and fiscal policies.

The submission deadline is January 30, 2017. To submit, please email a PDF version of your paper to [email protected]. Incomplete papers will be considered but a preference will be given to completed papers. Authors of accepted papers will be notified in early March 2017.
