Federal Reserve Board offices in Washington, D.C. will be closed on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, in observance of the national day of mourning for former President George H.W. Bush

The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System's offices in Washington, D.C., will be closed on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, in observance of the national day of mourning for former President George H.W. Bush.

Chairman Powell's appearance before the Joint Economic Committee has been postponed. The Beige Book will still be published at 2 p.m. EST, as scheduled. All other previously scheduled releases will be postponed until Thursday, December 6.

Federal Reserve Bank payment systems will operate normally. Reserve Bank cash offices will fulfill orders for currency and coin according to normal operating procedures.
