Figure 1. IAIS organizational structure

The figure shows the structure of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors. At the top of the hierarchy is the General Meeting, with the Executive Committee immediately below it. The Insurance Capital Standard Task Force, Strategic Plan and Financial Outlook Task Force, Implementation and Assessment Committee, Policy Development Committee, Macroprudential Committee, Budget Committee, and Coordination Group all report to the Executive Committee. The following units report to the Implementation and Assessment Committee: FinTech Forum, Supervisory Forum, Financial Inclusion Working Group, Signatories Working Group, Standards Assessment Working Group, G-SII Implementation Monitoring Expert Team, Member Assessment Process Expert Team (2019, Q3), and Core Curriculum Task Force. The following units report to the Policy Development Committee: Chairs of Working Parties of the PDC, Accounting and Auditing Working Group, Capital Solvency, and Field Testing Working Group, Insurance Groups Working Group, Market Conduct Working Group, Resolution Working Group, Governance Working Group *IAC*, Supervisory Material Review Task Force, and Financial Crime Task Force *IAC*. The following units report to the Macroprudential Committee: G-SII Analysts Working Group, Macroprudential Policy and Surveillance Working Group, Systemic Risk Assessment Drafting Group, and Task Force Systemically Important Banks and Insurers.
