Federal Reserve Board to publish inaugural Supervision and Regulation Report on November 9

For release at 12:00 p.m. EST

The Federal Reserve Board on November 9 at 12:00 p.m. EST will publish its inaugural Supervision and Regulation Report, which will summarize current banking system conditions and the Board's recent supervisory and regulatory actions.

The report is being published in conjunction with appearances before Congress by Vice Chairman for Supervision Randal K. Quarles on November 14 and 15 and is intended to explain the Board's recent supervisory and regulatory actions.

"One thing this inaugural report will show is that the banking system is currently performing quite well," Vice Chairman Quarles said. "A decade after the financial crisis, firms of all sizes are healthy, with strong loan growth and return on equity."

The report will contain quantitative and qualitative information about the current state of the banking system, including aggregate information about the ratings of all holding companies supervised by the Board, as well as trends across firms of all sizes.
