Inspector General

The Office of Inspector General (OIG) for the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System (Board) and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) is an independent and objective oversight authority established under the Inspector General Act of 1978, as amended. The OIG conducts audits, investigations, and other reviews relating to the programs and operations of the Board and the CFPB.

OIG Hotline
The OIG is also responsible for preventing and detecting fraud and abuse in the programs and operations of the Board and the CFPB. The OIG operates a hotline that serves as a resource for individuals to report suspected fraud, waste, abuse, or mismanagement.
