Data Description:

Includes (1) those bankers acceptances held by the branch or agency, that are defined as commercial and industrial loans for the "Report of Assets and Liabilities of U.S. Branches and Agencies of Foreign Banks FFIEC 002" report, whether open market purchases of acceptances of other institutions or the reporting institution's own acceptances purchased or discounted; and in (2) the commercial paper component of commercial and industrial loans (i.e., commercial paper issued by non-financial businesses held by the reporting institution.)
