Data Description:
Includes the interest paid or accrued on the types and classes of liabilities included in item 6631 on the balance sheet. Also includes premiums paid or discounts received on foreign exchange contracts related to financial swap transactions that involves deposits. Such gains or losses are known at the inception of the contract and should be amortized over the life of the contract. Also reported is the interest paid on the types and classes of borrowings included in item 2853 of the balance sheet. This includes interest and discounts on bills payable, rediscounts, and interest paid on any subordinated notes and debentures.
