Data Description:

Includes balances in new accounts defined as end-of-quarter balances in accounts whose holders had no MMDA with the reporting institution at the end of the prior quarter. Reporting in this cell is optional for all institutions.

NOTE:

Beginning 9/30/2002, the definition also include as new accounts;

(1). Accounts where there has been a name added or deleted.

(2), Deposits acquired from an acquisition of a depository institution or its branches or from other bulk purchase of deposits.
