Includes total assets held by any foreign bank family member less: (1) U.S. and foreign currency and coin; (2) cash items in process of collection (including unposted debits); (3) "Gross Claims on Parent and Other Designated Non-U.S. Affiliates (2947)"; (4) balances due from non-U.S. nonbanking subsidiaries of the foreign bank parent; (5) balances due from any other U.S. branch or agency in foreign bank family and from any U.S. branch or agency of the parent's foreign banking subsidiaries; (6) balances due from other U.S. banks and unrelated foreign banks (an overdraft of an unrelated bank's account is a loan and not included in due from balance); and (7) balances due from Federal Reserve Banks.
