Data Description:
Includes the total of all nontransaction accounts of individuals, partnerships, and corporations, wherever located. Nontransaction accounts includes: (a) Money Market Deposit Accounts (MMDAs); (b) savings deposits subject to telephone and preauthorized transfers where the depositor is not permitted or authorized to make more than three withdrawals per month for purposes of transferring funds to another account or for making a payment to a third party by means of preauthorized or telephone agreement, order, or instruction; (c) savings deposits subject to no more than three transfers per month for purposes of covering overdrafts (i.e., overdraft protection plan accounts); (d) all other savings deposits that are not classified as transaction accounts as defined in item 2201 (e.g., regular savings and passbook savings accounts); and (e) all time deposits with original maturities of seven days or more that are not classified as transaction accounts as defined in item 2201. NOTE: For the FFIEC 002 report, (RCON) reported as a derived item in Schedule E which includes the sum of items 2242 and 2251. Also reported as a derived item for the FR 2886B report (RCON), which includes the sum of items 2242 and 2251. COMPARABILITY: Prior to 3/31/94, reported as a derived item for the FR 2886B report (RCFN), which included the sum of items 2242 and 2251.
