Data Description:
Includes advances from the U.S. parent bank or balances due to the parent bank, including the liability of the branch or subsidiary to the parent bank resulting from acceptances confirmed, endorsed, or created by the parent bank for the branch or subsidiary. Also included as a liability is the permanent investment of the parent bank in the branch or subsidiary. Unremitted profits are balances due to the parent bank and are reported as liabilities (for net profits). Excludes unrealized gains or losses. NOTE: Reported on the FR 2502q (QFBS) report. COMPARABILITY: Prior to 3/31/94, includes the total sum of "Liabilities to Parent Bank Payable in U.S. Dollars (2993)" and "Liabilities to Parent Bank Payable in Other Currencies (2994)" reported on the FR 2502 (MFBR) report.
