Data Description:

Includes the next higher interest rate paid on the next higher balances (if applicable) for "NOW, ATS, and Telephone and Preauthorized Transfer Accounts (6917)". The stated interest rate per annum on deposits issued or renewed during the 7 days ending on the survey date (that is, the period from Thursday through Wednesday) is reported. Includes either the nominal rate (before compounding of interest) or the effective annual yield (after compounding of interest). If the nominal rate is reported in this item, the appropriate compounding period is reported in item 6016. If the effective annual yield is reported, then code 8 is reported in item 6016. Interest rates are reported to the nearest one-hundredth of a percentage point.
