Data Description:

Includes the stated interest rate per annum (nominal rate before compounding) paid at the minimum balance required to earn interest on "NOW Accounts (6022)" during the 7 days ending on the survey date. The interest rates are reported to the nearest one hundredth of a percentage point. If the institution does not have a minimum balance required to earn interest, the lowest interest rate paid on NOW accounts is reported. If more than one rate is paid during this period, (that is, the period from Thursday through Wednesday) the rate paid on the largest dollar volume of deposits issued or renewed during the week is reported.
