The definition of the "selected high-technology industries" IP aggregate has changed with this revision. Under the 2007 NAICS, this aggregate excluded electron tubes (NAICS 334411), but under the 2012 NAICS, electron tubes have been merged into other electronic components (NAICS 334419) and are thus included in the aggregate. IP indexes that either include or exclude selected high-technology industries now include or exclude all of semiconductors and other electronic components (NAICS 3344). The following indexes are affected by the change.
