Beginning 2009:Q1, series is discontinued reflecting the shift of investment banks to the holding company sector. Through 2008:Q4, series estimated as total corporate bonds outstanding of investment banks and security brokers and dealers less corporate bonds outstanding of security brokers and dealers (FOF series FL663163003). The estimated value of total corporate bonds outstanding for investment banks and security brokers and dealers was based on unadjusted transactions data obtained on a monthly basis from FR Board, CM, Publicly Offered Corporate Bonds and Notes report, Domestic, IB through 2008:Q1. The level was obtained by adding three months' transactions to the preceding level. For 2008:Q2 through 2008:Q4, unadjusted transactions are held constant due to discontinuation of the data source.
