Unadjusted transactions from Freddie Mac, Consolidated Statements of Cash Flows, Proceeds from the issuance of preferred stock plus Proceeds from issuance of common stock less Redemption of preferred stock less Repurchases of common stock. Level is the sum of the market value of common and preferred equity for Freddie Mac. The level of common equity is calculated from CRSP micro data as the sum of shares outstanding times share price at the end of the quarter. Beginning in 2008Q3, transactions are set to 0. Preferred equity is not included prior to 1996Q4. Data for the most recent ten years show no significant seasonality.
