Seasonally adjusted transactions from BEA NIPA, Table 1.5.5, line 44, Change in private inventories, Nonfarm. Level from Table 5.8.5B, line 19, Private inventories, Nonfarm industries. Unadjusted transactions are calculated as transactions at a seasonally adjusted annual rate divided by 4. Holding gains are calculated as the change in the level less the unadjusted transactions.
