The portion of "Demand Deposits of Individuals, Partnerships, and Corporations (2220)" held by U.S. financial businesses. Such financial businesses includes real estate investment trusts, mortgage companies, security and commodity brokers and dealers, insurance companies, bank holding and other investment companies, trust departments of other banks, and U.S. Government agencies and instrumentalities (e.g., Export-Import Bank, FNMA, Bank for Cooperatives, Federal Land Banks, Federal Home Loan Banks, FDIC, FHLMC ("Freddie Mac"), Federal Intermediate Credit Banks, SLMA ("Sallie Mae")). Excludes demand deposits of U.S. commercial banks, trust companies performing a banking business, U.S. branches and agencies of foreign banks, Edge and Agreement Corporations, savings banks, building or savings and loan associations, cooperative banks, homestead associations, credit unions, and industrial banks.
