Data Description:
Includes time deposits that are nonnegotiable in denominations of less than $100,000 that were issued on or after April 1, 1983, with original maturities of at least 1-1/2 years but less than 2-1/2 years for which the maximum permissible rate of interest on new deposits is tied to the average market yield on 1-1/2 year Treasury securities. Also includes all time deposits with original maturities of 4 years or more that are subject to an interest rate ceiling tied to the average market yield on 4 year Treasury securities which were authorized during the period from July 1, 1979, through December 31, 1979 and all time deposits with original maturities of at least 2-1/2 years that are subject to an interest rate ceiling tied to the average market yield on 2-1/2 year Treasury securities which were authorized from January 1, 1980, through March 31, 1983. Excludes all time deposits with original maturities of 2-1/2 years or more that were issued or renewed on or after April 1, 1983, or with original maturities of 3-1/2 years or more that were issued or renewed on or after May 1, 1982, regardless of whether or not the interest rate paid on such deposits is tied to a Treasury securities rate. Also excludes all time deposits with original maturities of 1-1/2 years or more for which the interest rate is equal to or below the current fixed ceiling established under Regulation Q.
