Data Description:
Includes cash on hand and the total book value of unpledged demand deposits in FDIC insured commercial banks, a FHLB bank, the Illinois bank for S&L's, savings bank trust company or in Federal Reserve Banks. Also includes redeemed U.S. savings bonds for which payment has not been received and any other unpledged cash item, and any deposits held in trust fund bank accounts, deposits with the Federal Reserve, Federal Home Loan Bank or a FDIC insured commercial bank to cover transaction deposits.
Excludes deposits in any savings institution which is under control of a supervisory authority or loans of unsecured day(s) funds, e.g., federal funds, etc., accounts with negative balances which should be included in "Overdrafts in Demand Deposits (2655)".
