Data Description:
Includes all demand and time balances on deposit with offices of commercial banks, industrial banks, stock savings banks, private banks, Edge and Agreement Corporations, mutual savings banks, savings and loan associations, and any other depository institutions domiciled in the 50 states of the U.S, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and U.S. territories and possessions. Also includes deposits with U.S. -chartered bank subsidiaries and U.S. branches and agencies of foreign banks and foreign official banking institutions in the U.S. All such balances are reported gross of any reciprocal balances.
